ABC is an English New Romantic band that was charted number eleven on Top 40 singles between 1981 and 1990. ABC was formed in 1980 in Sheffield as a result of an interview between Martin Fry, a music journalist, and a band Vice Versa for his fanzine Modern Drugs. The band adopted Fry as lead singer and after that changed their name to ABC.
